Ideal for teams from a post-16 education provider with an interest in sport, these Taster Days are a chance to immerse your students in university-level sports education.
Our focus sports are:
We’ll use a mixture of classroom and practical sessions to give your students a fun and engaging taste of sport at UEA. In the classroom sessions, students will learn about all areas of the uea+sport programme, from participation to performance. We’ll also give an overview of the courses available at UEA with a focus on our Sport-based degrees, as well as information on university life and accommodation.
The practical sessions can be tailored to your cohort of students. For students and teams that compete in one of our focus sports, we can offer a session delivered by our head coach of that sport, exploring areas of our performance programme including Strength & Conditioning. Alternatively, we can run a practical session that will showcase the wide variety of sports that are available at University, highlighting ones that students may not have encountered before. The visit will also include a campus tour and will last between 3 and 5 hours.
