The best news? If students that take part go on to apply to study Medicine at UEA and meet the entry requirements, then they’ll get a guaranteed interview. Preparing for Medicine is an 18-month long set of activities that are all designed to support students during Year 12 (L3 Y1) through to Year 13 (L3 Y1), at the point of deciding on a career in medicine through to application to university, interview and receiving their level 3 grades. It’s really an experience like no other.
Students need to apply for a place themselves so please pass on the info to anyone you think might be interested. There’s lots more information for students on the UEA website. In person or online activities will take place during school holidays, evenings or weekends. Some activities will be self–directed learning to be completed in student’s own time. There’s a real mix of delivery styles throughout the 18 months to enable the widest possible engagement.
