Make it Count

We all learn differently so we all need a set of tools to support our individual learning preferences. That’s where Make It Count comes in. Wrapped up in 8 workshops, this activity offers your students a chance to go on a journey of self-exploration with the aim of developing their skill set and boosting confidence along the way.

Metacognition is the name of the game for Make It Count. Your students will have the opportunity to explore their preferred learning styles and practise using a range of tools with an understanding of how they can be used in all subject areas to support raising attainment in the longer term. We’d like to work with your students who show signs of limited self-awareness of their abilities or lack confidence or resilience when faced with a learning challenge.

Climate change provides the consistent context for the workshop deliveries and your students will have access to high quality resources that are accessible and inclusive for all. As a topical theme, it is hoped that your students will also feel inspired to tackle the challenge of climate change and promote positive messages within their local community.
