Chatting with current UEA students who have been through the process and getting 1-2-1 feedback from mock interviews means your students will be ready to shine. There’s nothing that beats getting support from people who have been there and done that. Your students can access current UEA students who have all the insider tips of what to expect, how to prepare and how to succeed. Like all our activities – everything is totally free, including travel to campus.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for this activity, students must meet at least one of the following criteria:
A care-experienced student is someone who has spent time living with foster carers under local authority care, in residential care (e.g. a children’s home), looked after at home under a supervision order, or in kinship care with relatives or friends, either officially (e.g. a special guardianship order) or informally without local authority support.
An estranged person is someone who no longer has the support of their parents, and often other family members, due to a permanent breakdown in their relationship which has led to ceased contact. This might mean biological, step, or adoptive parents or wider family members who have been responsible for supporting the student in the past.
How many sessions are available?
We are offering four sessions for Interview Success: Medicine in 2025:
Please note: students only need to attend one session.
Is this activity offered online or in-person?
All sessions take place on campus, in person. That means students can really experience what medicine interviews are like – coming to campus taking part face to face will give them the most authentic experience.
We’ll provide free bus tickets so your students can get to campus – available to students in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Finances needn’t be a barrier to coming to campus – if you’re concerned please contact us about our travel fund.
Who signs up?
Students should sign up themselves – but they can always ask our Outreach team for help. The signup form is available on the UEA website.
The deadline to sign up is Monday 29 September at 23.59, but please note that signups may close sooner, depending on interest levels.
