Ideal for teams from a post-16 education provider with an interest in sport, this activity gives your students an overview of the uea+sport offering without the need to travel to UEA campus.
Our in-school talks can be delivered in the classroom or in an assembly setting, covering all areas of the uea+sport programme from participation to performance. We’ll give an overview of the courses available at UEA with a focus on our Sport-based degrees, as well as information on university life and accommodation.
For teams of the following sports, we’d be happy to include a practical session:
This would be delivered by UEA’s Head Coach of that sport. We aim to create a welcoming environment in which all participants are exposed to a University performance setup. Expect a breakdown of tactical elements of the sport, skill-specific drills, strength and conditioning exercises, and matchplay. Sessions are usually 60-90 minutes long.
Where does this activity take place?
These sessions are designed to take place in your home venue, meaning your students will not need to travel to UEA campus.
When are In-School Sport Sessions available?
You can book a session at a time that suits you between October and March, dependent on the availability of UEA staff.
To enquire about booking an In-School Sport Session, please email performance.sport@uea.ac.uk.
Who is this activity for?
These sessions are for students in Year 12 or Level 3 Year 1 and Year 13 or Level 3 Year 2. Students should have an interest in sport but do not necessarily need to play for a sports team.
If you have questions or you’d like to book a session, please email performance.sport@uea.ac.uk.
