We support with transition in year 6 and year 7 – you can expect worksheets of short, accessible activities and workshops in your school run by our team. We know young people can find the transition overwhelming – let us be the helping hand to support successful transition. Research tells us that key concerns include getting lost, losing old friends and homework, and that’s why we focus on those topics in these activities. New for the 24/25 academic year, we’ll be building skills in grit and resilience with your year 6 students too.
Worksheet activities can be completed in isolation or as a set, so they’re flexible to fit around your existing school timetable and classes and can support your existing transition planning. We’ll print them and deliver them to you – everything you need will be ready to go. We can run workshop sessions equally flexibly too, we’re on hand to fit around your existing schedule.
Your students will develop skills in organisation, reflection, research and time management whilst having space and time to articulate their thoughts, feelings and concerns about transitioning. Importantly, they’ll know what good looks like for them. Take part in Future Stars Transition and you’ll have a class full of excited, confident and prepared students.
How can I sign up?
Teachers from our Partner schools can book places for their students, once they have signed the UEA Partnership agreement. The booking form will be sent out early September.
Have you seen the rest of the activities in Future Stars?
