Your students will feel more confident, understand more about university and will have developed their speaking and listening skills. Future Stars Year 7 happens in four parts:
In-school pre-workshop
A presentation and activity workbook that bring university to life.
Activity workbook
Students will complete their very own workbook where they’ll get to learn about some inspiring student role models from the local area. Between that and quizzes about future choices, videos and interactive activities it’s all super engaging. Their workbook can be used before, during and after their campus visit.
Campus visit
A fun-filled day on campus that includes a campus tour, a look inside real student accommodation, a university workshop, a sports activity at the Sportspark, talks about all of the clubs and societies you can get involved with at university and subject-specific workshops…all whilst meeting current university students. Phew. What a great day!
In-school celebration ceremony
A chance for your students to celebrate their university experience. They’ll get their very own certificate and medal to wear with pride.
When will the campus visit take place?
There are 4 campus visits:
Who should sign up for places?
Teachers can book multiple places at once. Bookings happen alongside other pre-16 activities via our 2024-25 on-campus booking form. We’ll be in touch when the booking form opens with all the details – you’ll have the opportunity to rank activities you’d like to attend.
Are all activities compulsory?
Yes, students should complete all activities for a truly immersive adventure into life at university.
