The Scrapbot Olympics has two online activities, followed by on a on-campus day for the final competition. Your students will work in teams of up to 6, and will complete in robot building with up to 8 other teams. You can expect them to get involved with engineering topics and equipment that they haven’t had a chance to yet – opening up their horizons on the subject and developing their passion. They’ll need to do around 2-4 hours work outside of the sessions run by our team to get the most out of this activity.
When does the activity take place?
There’s a launch activity on Wednesday 10 January to give your students the low down on what will happen throughout the project, and they’ll come together with other schools on-campus on Tuesday 5 March to show off their robot creations.
The two online sessions will be booked to suit your school’s timetable – your Outreach Officer will support arrangements.
How can my students take part?
All bookings for the on-campus activity have happened. If your school has been offered places during the booking process, your Outreach Officer will be in touch directly to book the wraparound in-school sessions at a time that suits your timetable.
